Ingredients
Wet Ingredients
- 1.5 kg water
- 440 g oil
- 2 tbsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Dry Ingredients
- 1.13 kg flour
- 1.2 kg sugar
- 200 g cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp salt
- 2 tbsp baking soda
Instructions
- preheat oven to 350ºF
- whisk wet ingredients together in a bowl
- mix dry ingredients together in a separate bowl. Make sure there are no salt/cocoa powder/baking soda clumps
- pour dry ingredients into wet ingredients. Mix until no dry flour is left, some small lefts are ok. Do not overmix!
- pour onto a sheet tray lined with parchment. Spread batter all the way to the corners
- bake at 350ºF for 30-45 minutes or until a knife stuck in the center comes out clean
- let the cake cool for at least 15 minutes before cutting and serving
