Bean Dip

Savoury chickpea spread for toast or dipping. Delicious on a slice of toast topped with carrot lox!

Ingredients

  • 900 g dried chickpeas
  • 1/2 cup chickpea water
  • 1 cup sesame seeds
  • 2 cup oil
  • 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 cup dried parsley

Instructions

Soak Chickpeas

  1. fully submerge chickpeas in water, cover, and store in the fridge overnight

Steam Chickpeas

  1. steam chickpeas in 1 inch of water for 40 minutes
  2. check that chickpeas are soft, cook for ~10 more minutes if not

Bean Dip

  1. place all ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth
